A colleague of mine just introduced me to her blog: The Sensitive Traveler, which illuminated a world of individuals who suffer from being overly sensitized to their environs. High Sensitivity is a real issue for some and as I read about it, the syndrome could explain how some people react better than others to their environment and situations that remove them from the comforts of home.
For more information about what defines The Highly Sensitive Person, visit the web site of Dr. Elaine Aron , herself a Highly Sensitive person, and bestselling author of The Highly Sensitive Person and it's companion books, The Highly Sensitive Person's Workbook, The Highly Sensitive Person in Love and The Highly Sensitive Child.
