Before August ended here in Maine, my son was going to bed in his blanket sleeper. Is that even right? Doesn't seem it to me. But alas, it's true. I absolutely adore when he does that as he's getting big (4th grade) and won't want to cuddle up in footie pjs much longer, I'm sure. Added bonus is that they make him look smaller and more huggable somehow. But, I digress.
Evan's blanket sleeper here to stay, along with the pool now being too cold to swim in (unless one is a penguin), has made me start longing for the lovely days and chilly nights of fall. Days of leaves changing color, our local Apple Harvest & Eliot Days Festivals, pumpkins, and hot tea. And along with that, wrapping up in a cozy, cozy blanket while I lounge around at night watching television (bring on the new TV season). Time to break out my Natura Duvet Mate.
It's a wool "comforter" that, while lightweight, is perfect for the chilly evenings. It's filled with Natura Wool fill and covered in an unbleached cotton. And it has this cool little pocket for me to put my feet in! Even better, if I were the type to actually tidy up my living room after each use, the Duvet Mate folds up into a stylish 17" x 17" pillow!
Would that I were only that neat (*smile). Here's hoping your fall is as lovely as I plan mine to be.
