Guest blogger: Jennifer Thibodeau, Marketing Manager Few things are more beautiful, in my opinion, than fall foliage in Maine. The anticipation as the leaves are just starting to turn, followed by utter awe at the intense, vibrant colors is positively thrilling. Of course, as the color fades, so does the amazement (because, let's face it, we know what's coming next). …
Last week our social media outlets were a bit quieter than usual. My husband and I took our four youngest children on our first week long summer vacation in almost eight years!
I have tried to plan at least one trip per year and have it include some type of missions work, volunteer, or service aspect. I love getting to the know a country from that perspective! When you perform a service, you have deeper connection and love for the people, not only the place, and Spain proved no different for me.

One gentleman stopped by to say hi and told us that he bought several mattresses from our owner, Chris Chamberlin, back in the early days when The Clean Bedroom was just selling online and over the phone. He had vivid memories of his discussion with her and was pleased to see how the company has grown.
This trip was to celebrate both Kate’s 50th birthday and our wedding anniversary, so we wanted to make this trip especially meaningful.
How do we handle a customer who needs 6 organic mattresses delivered and assembled on an island? Easy, we go there 😉
One of the largest and most exciting festivals ever organized, opening night featured musicians and street performers filling the street entertaining strollers. The Clean Bedroom was just one of the stores hosting receptions for the hundreds of visitors who attended to preview the work of over 120 artists.
It is always a treat to see these gorgeous houses knowing that everyone involved puts forth so much effort to dazzle us with the newest innovations and ideas in creating the most unique living environment. This year, five homes were presented featuring five builders with their teams of designers, decorators, landscapers and many others eager to show off their skill. All five show homes are located on one of seven hilltops with stunning views of the Pedernales River, surrounded by reserve Texas Hill Country land.
By 1990, Earth Day had gone global, “mobilizing 200 million people in 141 countries and lifting environmental issues onto the world stage.”* Today, Earth Day continues to boost all of us into action to do our part to preserve and protect the environment around us.
Seems like a strange place to spend your hard earned vacation time, but when the people become more important that the “view” any place can be a vacation.
